The Taste of St. Francis is back in 2026 and taking over Valentine’s Day. Whether you are spending it with that “special someone” or a group of friends and family, the Taste is the perfect place to celebrate. The event will host the $10,000 Raffle Drawing, On-line & Silent Auctions, Split the Pots, and Wine & Bourbon Pulls. In place of the small bites from different vendors, there will be an Italian Buffet along with wine and beer tastings. Event Tickets will go on-sale in mid January and seating will be limited, so watch the bulletin for details or contact wende.aubrey@sfxmw.com for more information.

ATTENTION HIGH-SCHOOL SENIORS– Don’t miss out on the opportunity to apply for the $5,000 Pat French Scholarship. This scholarship was established in honor of Patricia K. French to be awarded to a high-school senior who is a member of St. Francis Xavier Church. This person should be service-oriented and a person of high Christian moral values. In addition, this person should be a dedicated student, demonstrating a good work ethic. The recipient may use this one-time, non-renewable award to pursue any program of studies at any accredited college or vocational school. Complete the application below and return to the SFX Parish Office Attn: Wende Aubrey, no later than Friday, March 13, 2026.

Applicants who are chosen to interview for the scholarship will be contacted by the parish office. Interviews will be conducted on Monday, April 6th.

An Advent Deanery Communal Penance Service will be held at St. Joseph Proto Cathedral in Bardstown on Sunday, December 14th @ 2:00 PM for those interested in the Sacrament of Reconciliation before the Christmas holydays.
Reconciliation at St. Francis Xavier will be held on Tuesday, Dec 9th at 9AM following Daily Mass and on Wednesday, Dec 10th at 6:30PM during Children’s Faith Formation.

Right now, many families in our area are facing food insecurity. Your contribution to our upcoming food drives can make a real difference. We’re collecting the following non-perishable food items to help restock Community Ministry’s Food Pantry and provide Christmas food baskets through our SFX Outreach Ministry. Both organizations have provided a list of their most needed items.

The Spanish-speaking Safe Environment originally scheduled for Saturday, November 15, 2025, at St. Helen Glasgow has been moved to Saturday, November 22nd at 930AM CENTRAL TIME.
The SFX High School Group will be raffling off a Gift Card Advent Calendar on Sunday November 23rd.
Each pocket of the Advent Calendar contains a gift card ranging in value from $5 – $15. Raffle tickets are $5 each and will be sold after all the masses the weekends of Nov 15th/16th and Nov 22nd/23rd.

The 7th Grade RE Class will be hosting a Thanksgiving Dinner for the seniors of our parish on Sunday, November 16th at 2PM in the Xavier Center.

The Women’s Club is accepting donations for their Cake Wheel. Desserts can be dropped off at the Xavier Center on Friday, Nov 7th from 9AM-12PM or 4PM-7PM and Saturday after 8AM.

All are invited to the commemoration of the faithfully departed prayer service on November 4th at 7PM.
