ASH WEDNESDAY

The Mass time for Ash Wednesday, March 6th, is 7:00 p.m. This is a day of Fast and Abstinence.

Abstinence – Particular days of abstinence during Lent are Fridays, Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. Catholics over the age of 14 are expected to abstain from the eating of meat.

Fasting – In the Catholic Church, those ages 18-59 must fast on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday.
