Cub Scouts/Boy Scouts

St. Francis Xavier is the charter organization for Pack #776. The pack/troop meets in the Religious Education Building on Thursday evenings. Cub Scouting is a family program designed for boys who are about 7-10 years old. Activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting: Citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness. Boy Scouting is a year-round program available to boys who have earned the Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old or have completed the fifth grade, or who are 11 years old but not yet 18 years old. The program achieves the BSA’s objectives of developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness.
Needed are adult volunteers to lead scout groups.
Knights of Columbus
Chairperson: Mike Zygmunt
A Catholic men’s fraternal organization devoted to the Catholic Church and the local community. Many activities are offered that provide members a way to serve the family, the parish, the local community, and the global Catholic Church. Some activities and dinners are held that include spouses. Open to all Catholic men.
Needed are men who are willing to become involved in special projects such as cooking and serving fish fries, both during Lent and in the fall. Preparing, cooking and serving chicken at parish picnics including St. Francis Xavier. Other projects are the annual Tootsie Roll campaign and Annual Right to Life Mass.
American Red Cross
Chairperson: Michele Mattingly
Every third month on Sunday from 8-12 in the parish hall. Volunteers needed to sign people in and promote blood drive.
